This doorbell was designed for everyone to be able to use regardless of hearing, physical or visual impairments. Touch is a sense which we all share, so the doorbell works through vibration. The doorbell is activated by a motion sensor which then sends a signal to a vibrating wearable pendant (either bracelet or necklace depending on the preference of the user) which starts vibrating when a there is someone at the door. The person at the door knows when the signal is sent since the doorbell lights up.
Research
Existing devices
Visual and conceptual research
Visual research and inspiration for existing technology and ideas for wearable technology, especially focused on people with disabilities, sport braclets and rehabilitation. Universal design is also an important factor I will need to consider for the future of my project.

Electronics
Early experimentation and circuits I had very little prior experience with arduino so this part of the project was a huge challenge for me. I spent a lot of time researching how to use each component and how they work.Doorbell design
Idea and experiments Usually when approaching a doorbell, most people would look for button to press, however since my doorbell works with a motion sensor, which also looks like a button, people would be confused if nothing happend when they tried to find the button. I needed lo be careful while designing the doorbell to make sure it was intuative for the person approachin g the door thal a signal was already sent to the person inside the house. Since my doorbell uses radio waves to send a signal I wanted to design the doorbell inspired by the visualisations of radio waves.3D modeling doorbell I used a combination of different programs for the 3D modeling, I used fusion for the moddeling and then when that was done I imported the model into blender to make the renders.
Prototyping
I 3D printed the prototypes of the doorbell and pendant and fit the electronics inside the prototype for the doorbell.
