Hello! I was born in South Africa and grew up in The Netherlands. I discovered my passion for design at a young age and have been working hard towards my goals. In my studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven, I have been exploring different materials and skills and trying to learn as much as I can and challenge myself.

I am an interdisciplinary product designer at the intersection of technology, design and psychology. I work towards accessibility and sustainability with an aspect of care and a human-centred approach. I want to create innovative products that can help and improve people’s physical and emotional well-being. I believe that design is a way to make a positive impact on the world.

Personal Design Process

This diagram shows my design process in 4 stages which all overlap with each other: Research, Ideation, Create and Refine. Depending on the project in each phase I may need to spend more time or go back to certain steps but in general, this is how I work.

Form is not only an aesthetic element in my work, it is part of the function either in how the user interacts with it or interprets it. Fluidity is a crucial element of my design language and a common theme among my projects. My style gravitates towards organic shapes, soft colours and forms which reflect water, nature and influences from the people around me.
